OUR PROCESS
A clear path from your first idea to your new fence.
Start with the way you want your property to look and work. Whether you’re planning privacy for a backyard, an inviting entrance or a practical enclosure, the right questions help shape the right fence.
Family-owned since 1998, Tico Fence serves Bergen County and North Jersey. Here’s what to share and discuss as we plan your project together.

1. Tell us about your project
Share your town, photos of the space, approximate fence length and the purpose of the fence. Let us know about existing fencing, slopes, landscaping and the gates or access points you need.
2. Explore materials and the layout
Compare vinyl / PVC, wood, aluminum and chain link. Discuss the balance of privacy, visibility, appearance and upkeep that suits your property.
Bring favorite designs from our fence styles and project gallery.
3. Review the scope and prepare
Review the proposed materials, fence line, gates and estimate. Confirm what is included, how existing fencing will be handled and the access needed for the work. Ask about scheduling and any project details that still need to be resolved.
Discuss property boundaries and any applicable local or association requirements before work begins. Clarify who is responsible for each preparation step.
4. Install your fence and gates
Once the agreed preparations are complete, our team carries out the installation according to the approved project scope. Keep access areas clear and let us know about any property changes before work begins. Discuss questions about the fence line, gates or site conditions with the team.
5. Confirm the finishing details
Review the completed fence and gates with the team, ask about care for your chosen material and keep your project documents for reference. If a question comes up afterward, contact Tico Fence with your project details.
